Your details, used for a clear purpose.

Effective October 15, 2026

DBAA is an independent, unincorporated initiative operated by its founding organizer, Ali Que, in Alberta, Canada. This notice covers dbaa.ca.

Information you give us

Our forms collect your email address and, when you provide them, your name, organization, community and message. We use these details to handle your request. We record the submission time, request type and newsletter choice.

The DBAA newsletter is optional. Its subscriber records are maintained separately from BlūLion’s marketing lists. We do not sell subscriber details or automatically share them with a marketing provider. If you request a commercial introduction, we will explain the provider and relationship and ask for your agreement first.

Public directory information

Directory profiles use public business information. Program details currently come from Alberta’s December 2025 open data; selected websites are matched from collected business listings. Profiles show source dates and links. They are not a current licensing verification, an endorsement or a membership list.

Use the listing request form to request a correction, removal or ownership review. We may ask for business verification before making a change.

Owner accounts and enhanced profiles

Owner sign-in provides a site-specific account ID and verified email. We store ownership requests, review decisions, plan status and expiry dates to control editing access. Association membership includes Enhanced features for the account’s verified listings. Public profiles show approved business content; owner account identifiers and claim notes are not public. Enhanced content is hidden when the applicable plan expires and retained for the owner until deletion is requested.

Images supplied by owners may load from their business websites. Google Maps links open Google’s service. If an embedded Google location card is offered, it loads only when you request it; your browser then connects to Google, which can receive technical information such as your IP address. See the Google Privacy Policy and our directory terms.

Hosting and service providers

The site and form storage use OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Service providers may process information outside Alberta or Canada. Access to submitted details is restricted to the DBAA organizer. Routine network and security logs may be processed by the hosting providers. To limit repeated form submissions, the application temporarily stores an hourly hash of the connection address or email, rather than a raw IP address.

Analytics and cookies

Cloudflare Web Analytics measures visits and performance. Google Analytics is optional and loads only after you allow it. We use it to understand page views and actions such as completed sign-ups and directory clicks. Form content is not included in our analytics events. Google may process technical information using its own infrastructure.

Your analytics choice is stored in your browser. . Essential sign-in cookies may be used for owner accounts and the private organizer dashboard. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.

Access, corrections and deletion

Use the contact form to request access, correction or deletion of your submitted details. Include enough information for us to find the request, without sending sensitive documents. We may need to verify the request. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion; other inquiries are retained only as needed for follow-up and administration.
